Day 6

GHS Baseball – Important Parent/Player Baseball meeting tomorrow (Friday) at 6:00 PM in the GHS cafeteria, for all levels of baseball. Be there.

Boys Basketball Banquet – The boy’s basketball banquet is next Wednesday, March 29th at 5:00 PM in the GHS cafeteria for all levels of basketball. Bring your uniforms with you to the banquet to turn into the coach, otherwise you will get an obligation.

Class of 2017 – Senior Student Council will be selling Senior Sweatshirts at lunch in the school store. Sweatshirts are $30.00 for most sizes, $35.00 for XXL and above.

Class of 2017 – Tickets for the Parent/Banquet will be sold at lunches until Tuesday, April 4th. Tickets are $45.00 a person and all dues must be paid to purchase one.

Art ClubThere will be a meeting for all Art Club and Photo students attending the NYC trip next Tuesday, March 28th after school in Room 3111 (Ms. Cerutti’s room). This is an extremely important meeting. No longer than 30 minutes, be there.

Seniors New Scholarships – Two new scholarships that are not in the Scholarship Bulletin are now available. Applications are available in the Main Office for the Enjoy Gloucester Foundation Scholarship and The Robert & Jean Muniz Scholarship.

Guidance – Seniors – Applications for the Abbott Scholarship are available in the guidance office. Deadline for the application is May 1st.

 

 

The Nancy Hochberg Higgins Memorial Scholarship sponsored by the Arthur N. Ryan Scholarship Fund has been increased to $2,500. And now reads: In addition, the recipient of the $2,500 Nancy Hochberg Higgins Memorial Scholarship should be a candidate who will pursue a career in education (with special consideration for a person focused on the arts) Please see page 79 in the scholarship bulletin for further info.

Class of 2017 – Tickets for the Parent/Banquet will be sold at lunches until Tuesday, April 4th. Tickets are $45.00 a person and all dues must be paid to purchase one.

Class of 2017 Student Council – There will be a meeting today after school, all must attend.

Day 2

Athletic Dept. – Attention all students interested in playing Spring Sports! You have the rest of today to register on FamilyID.com. You must register online even if you registered for Fall or Winter sports already this year. In order to practice on Monday, March 20th you need to do these three things: 1. Register on FamilyID.com. together with a parent/guardian. 2. Provide proof that you have had a physical exam within the last 13 months.  3. Pay the Spring 2017 User Fee, as well as any unpaid User Fees from previous seasons.  Thank you and Go Fishermen!

GHS Softball Tryouts – Softball tryouts will begin next Monday at 3:30 PM in the fieldhouse. All girls trying out will report to the cafeteria at 3:00 PM. You will not be eligible to tryout if you did not register online, have an updated physical, and concussion form completed.

Boys Basketball Banquet – The boy’s basketball banquet is being rescheduled for next Tuesday, March 21st at 6:30 PM. It will be in the GHS cafeteria. Make sure you bring your uniform with you to turn in, otherwise you’ll get an obligation.

The double elimination bracket will be finalized after tomorrow’s games. Teams will begin the double elimination tournament, Monday March 13th.
