Distractology – For the second time, Distractology will be coming to Gloucester High School!  Distractology is a mobile simulator experience, designed to show new drivers exactly how dangerous it is to drive distracted. This opportunity is available to new drivers with their learner’s permit or license. The program is FREE and participants also receive a $15.00 gas card! GHS is proud to be hosting Distractology on Monday, May 21st, through Friday, May 25th. To schedule an appointment, visit Ms. Francis in Room 2217, space is limited so sign up today!

Guidance – A representative from the Gloucester Biotechnology Academy will he here on Wednesday, May 16th at 10:30 am to talk with seniors about this post graduate opportunity which includes training in the Biotech industry and a paid internship. Students interested in this one year program should see their guidance counselors for more details.

Seniors – The Senior Banquet is tonight, it starts at 6:00 PM until 9:30 PM at Doubletree, semi-formal attire.

Italian Students – Any student attending the North End field trip tomorrow morning, please remember there will be no announcements, go to the atrium after 1st block tomorrow, thank you, and remember on Friday if you’re tardy to school or you cannot go!!

GHS Community Health Center & GHS Athletics presents Vaping Education for Athletes – Mandatory program for all GHS athletes and athletes only from GHS and O’Maley Middle School, Vaping education for athletes including MIAA rules pertaining to vaping, while vaping is a public health issue not exclusive to athletes, a high percentage of Gloucester students caught vaping participate in the athletic program. The program will be in the GHS cafeteria and the hallways on the main floor on Tuesday, May 22nd from 7:00- 8:00 PM.

Also Dr. Ruth A. Pottee will present to parents exclusively on “Marijuana, Addiction and Vaping on Thursday, May 24th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM in the GHS Lecture Hall.

GHS Community Health Center & GHS Athletics presents Vaping Education for Athletes – Mandatory program for all GHS athletes and athletes only from GHS and O’Maley Middle School, Vaping education for athletes including MIAA rules pertaining to vaping, while vaping is not exclusive to athletes, a high percentage of students caught vaping participate in the athletic program. Senior College AnchorsFor those who have completed their anchors with future college or plans – please cut them out and bring them to Mrs. Feener in the library. If you have not yet received an anchor, stop by Mr. Roy’s room 2205, to pick one up! Thank you.

Visual Arts Dept.- The Visual Arts Dept. is planning our annual trip to NYC for Friday, May 18th. If you are planning on joining us, we need your forms and money this week! Our deadline is tomorrow (Friday). See any of the art teachers for details and forms. Hurry up the bus is almost full!

 

DECA – DECA will be raffling gift baskets this week in front of the DECA store both lunches. Ticket prices start at $2.00 each. Come check out our fabulous baskets!
