GHS Boys Lacrosse – Important boys lacrosse meeting today in the cafeteria right after school, for the spring season. Anybody planning on playing spring outdoor lacrosse should come whether you have played before or not.

Intramural Volleyball – Intramural Volleyball is back for the 13th straight year at GHS, visit the website at ghsintramuralvolleyball.blogspot.com for information about the league and forms to sign up. Eight teams are committed already, get forms to Mr. P. Cook in Room 2216 or by email by the 2:07 deadline is the end of today, league starts Monday, February 27th.

Art ClubAll Art Club members that are planning on attending the NYC field trip in May, must have their $25.00 deposit in to Ms. C. by the end of today, no exceptions.

NHS – To all Juniors & Seniors who are potential candidates for the National Honor Society. NHS Induction Applications will be distributed to qualified candidates via Gloucester schools email, minimum GPA requirement for consideration is an 88.0.  Please check your school email during the break for the application and/or updates. The applications will be due Friday, March 3rd, so plan accordingly to allow time for requesting letters of recommendations and writing the required essay. Please contact Mr. Perrault if you think that you are eligible and you do not receive an email application.

Guidance Dept. There will be a fieldtrip for seniors accepted to North Shore Community College on Friday, March 3rd, 2017, please sign up and obtain a permission slip in the guidance office.

AP Testing – Attention AP students – The deadline for AP exam signups is the end of today. Please make sure that you either bring in cash or check. All checks must be made to Gloucester High School. Please bring your payment to Mr. DiPietro in Room 3215. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. DiPietro or Ms. Lichtenwald.

The Gloucester High School Scholarship Bulletin 2017 is on the Gloucester High School page of the www.gloucesterschools.com  website under Recent Uploaded Documents. Each scholarship requires a separate letter of application and a separate financial statement form. A copy of the financial statement form can be found at the end of this bulletin; additional forms are available in the Main Office. Unless otherwise indicated, all scholarships must be in the Main Office by 10:00 am on Monday, April 3rd, 2017. Scholarships that are to be mailed must be postmarked no later than Saturday, April 1st, 2017.

Our GHS Summer Internship Preparation/Placement Program starts today. It’s free for 9th-11th graders and meets every Tuesday from 2:20-4:20 PM to help students search and secure summer internships, upgrade their resumes and practice interviewing. We will focus on exploring your interests and skills to match you to a position in your desired field. Past students have interned at Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester Police Dept. Cape Ann TV, Marini Farm, and Manchester Family Medicine, spaces are limited, so make sure to see Ms. Carlson in guidance to register, A.S.A.P.

GHS Chess Team – Every chess player that will be making it to the play- off game today, make sure to check in with the team in Room 3204 before we depart.

AP Economics – All students who are interested in taking AP Economics next year please attend an informational meeting directly after school today in Room 3202. See Ms. Grasetti for more information.

Moody’s Mega Math Challenge – Those interested in competing in the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge are invited to Room 3203 after school today for a short informational meeting.
