Day 1

 

Attention Seniors – Free luncheon for all Seniors who have visited the Health Center!  The GHS Health Center is hosting this Free Transition Luncheon this Thursday, May 25th during both lunch blocks. Please go by the Health Center in room 1214 to pick up your free ticket!

 

Seniors – Please be sure to return you library books, A.S.A.P. If you have a book(s) out from the GHS library, you will not receive your cap & gown until you have returned or paid for the book(s). An obligation list if posted on the window of the main office, library and at Ms. Feener’s desk, thank you.

 

Girls Summer Basketball – There will be a meeting today in the cafeteria right after school to sign up for girl’s summer league basketball.

 

School Bank – Do you want to work in the school bank as a bank teller next year 2017-2018? This will look great on your college applications or even get you ready for work right out of high school. Please see Mrs. Pine in Room 3308, if you are interested.

 

Attention Student/Athletes – The Gloucester Police Dept. and Healthy Gloucester Collaborative will provide “Chemical Health Night” for all student/athletes tonight at 7:00 PM in the GHS auditorium. Attendance is mandatory for student/athletes. Please sign in with your coach inside the auditorium prior to the event. All are welcome!

Gloucester Youth Council – Come into the principal’s office to pick up a permission form for the upcoming Project Adventure trip. Permission forms due by the end of today.

 

New Scholarship – The Stone Family Scholarship for $1,000 is available for a senior with the expressed intent to study in the field of science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Additional information is available in the main office. Due May 15th.

Summer Job – Are you 18 years old and looking for an easy summer job? The Heights of Cape Ann is looking for a pool monitor. If you are interested, go to the guidance office to find the job posting.

Calling All Actors! Casting for a movie! Have you always wanted to be in a movie as an extra? minor character? main character? or back- ups? Sign up to be in the movie “The Two Sided Story” directed by Nathaniel Lounsbury, go to Mr. Roy’s room to sign up and come after school tomorrow from 2:00 – 3:30 PM, meeting in the library.

Student Council – There will be an all student council meeting tomorrow (Wednesday), to elect next year’s executive board – All student council must attend.

NHS – NHS Community Service Sheets are due today by 2:00 PM, 20 hours of tutoring, 2 Open Door Service Days and 20 extra hours, no exceptions, 2:00 PM to Ms. Menery.

NHS – All NHS members please go to the cafeteria at 1:55 PM, please have your service sheets with you and new members we will be doing elections today for the 4 office positions.
