  Day 5


Athletics – The winter sports season is in full swing! Tonight boys basketball hosts Marblehead beginning at 4:00 PM with the freshman game, followed by Junior Varsity at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM. Tomorrow boys varsity ice hockey takes on Danvers at 2:00 PM at Talbot Rink.

Please be aware that it is not permissible to bring backpacks into events. And as always, remember that good sportsmanship is demonstrated not only by the athletes competing in the event, but also by the fans. Show your support by cheering on the Gloucester teams as well as showing respect for all opponents, opponents fans and officials, Thank you and GO FISHERMEN!


Cap & Gown Measurements – Next Monday, December 19th, University Cap and Gown will be at Gloucester High School to take measurements for all seniors who have not done so. Students should plan to be measured during their lunch period. This is the last time they will be at Gloucester High School. Cost is $16.50 per student. Please be sure you have $16.50 cash or check made out to University Cap & Gown.

Hats for the Homeless – Cold weather is coming! Drop off hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and any other cold weather apparel in the library. All donations are going to the Grace Center! Thank you for helping our community stay warm!

Guidance – This message is for Sophomore and Juniors who took the PSAT’s in October. Counselors will be in the cafeteria next Monday and Wednesday to distribute the results.

Guidance – Salem State University is offering a dual enrollment course beginning Thursday, January 19th at Gloucester High School. The course “Introduction to Criminal Justice” will meet on Thursdays from 6-8:20 PM.
