Junior Class Student Council – There will be a meeting next Thursday, January 16th in Room 1213 immediately after school, no exceptions, all must attend.

 

From the Library – Save elephants, craft a masterpiece, code, create, think, play, relax, have fun, make after school time your time. This is a friendly reminder that the Gloucester U after school program registration is still open. Gloucester U is a new and exciting after school program that is completely free for GHS students. Come to the library for more details about the courses and to figure out which course is right for you. Classes start next Wednesday, Jan. 15th. The sign up sheet for courses can be found on the school library web page.

 

From Guidance – Free FASFA Workshop – receive individual assistance in filling out college financial aid forms. The College Success Program will be offering a Free FASFA workshop on Saturday, January 18th at Endicott College’s Gloucester’s campus at 33 Commercial St., between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Appointment info is available through your guidance counselor.

 

NHS – NHS is holding their annual blood drive on Friday, January 17th. Schedule sign ups are in the ticket booth at both lunches. Thank you for your consideration and preparation.

Career Possibilities Exploration – What do you want to be when you grow up? Please go to the GHS website and complete “The Career Possibilities Survey. Ms. Hickey and Ms. Goodman will bring in professional guest speakers in the fields that students are most interested in.

Student Obligations – are posted in the principals office windows, they must be cleared, A.S.A.P.

 

GHS Students – The Rock-A-Thon is here, please help us get the cans we need, it’s a 24 sleepless hours of rocking in a rocking chair to fundraise food for the “Open Door”, from 8:00 AM January 18th to 8:00 AM, January 19th, 2014. Look in your cabinets, check your shelves, in the spirit of the holiday give to those less fortunate than you. Turn the cans into the principal’s office.
