Day 1


Drama Program – Young Adult Fiction Writer Janet Ruth Young teams up with the GHS Drama Program for a stage reading of her book “My Beautiful Failure” tonight at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center at 7:00 PM, $5.00 admission. All proceeds to the Drama Program.  


GHS Softball – Softball conditioning starts this Sunday, January 19th from 8:00 am – 10:00 am in the field house, open to anyone interested in playing.


2014 Student Council – Mandatory meeting today after school, re: Senior Banquet, Senior Prom, sweatshirts and other exciting senior stuff!


From Guidance – Free FASFA Workshop – receive individual assistance in filling out college financial aid forms. The College Success Program will be offering a Free FASFA workshop this Saturday, January 18th at Endicott College’s Gloucester’s campus at 33 Commercial St., between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Appointment info is available through your guidance counselor.


GHS Students – The Rock-A-Thon is here, please help us get the cans we need, it’s a 24 sleepless hours of rocking in a rocking chair to fundraise food for the “Open Door”, from 8:00 AM Saturday, January 18th to 8:00 AM, Sunday, January 19th, 2014. Look in your cabinets, check your shelves, in the spirit of the holiday give to those less fortunate than you. Turn the cans into the principal’s office.


From Guidance – Seniors, the Massaschusetts Elks Scholarship application and the application for the Raymond R. Anderton Scholarship are available in the guidance office.


Environmental Club – There will be a meeting next Thursday, January 23rd  in Room 2207 at 2:15 PM  - 3:15 PM to talk about the garden and different ways to save money by conserving energy. Cookies will be provided.
