GHS Drama Club – will be presenting their musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, tonight at 7:00 PM and Saturday night at 7:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 for students and $8.00 for adults.


The GHS Boys Soccer Team will be having a Spring Plant Sale tomorrow (Saturday), May 18th at St. Peter’s Square from 9:00 am to 1:30 PM. Come down and support the boys and see all the amazing spring flowers.


Student Council – Spirit Week is next Week, Monday is Denim Day, Tuesday is Old People Day, Wednesday is Toga Day, Thursday is America Day, and Friday is Class Colors Day. Also don’t forget student council forms are bue by May 22nd, see Ms. Finacey.


From the Sunshine Fund – May 23rd doors open at 6:00 PM, please help us raise money for our cause for the Sunshine Fund, would you like to see some teachers in the school on stage such as Mr. Kearns, or Mr. Barry? Please come to the auditorium next Thursday night, tickets are $5.00 for a good cause – come see “late night” with Mr. Francis and Mr. Telles perhaps you can hear some digs about some members of the senior class? Or see some senior class talent on stage as well, see you there!!


NHS – Any and all newly inducted NHS members interested in being on theRelay For Life Team” this year, please attend an informational meeting, next Monday, May 20th in the library right after school.


From Mr. Basile – We are planning a trip to France and Germany for next April vacation, see Mr. Basile, Ms. Finacy or Mrs. Pagnetti for an information flyer.


Seniors – All seniors are reminded that they must pay their class dues before attending the prom or graduation. Dues are $50.00 and can be paid during lunch at the school snack shop. If you are paying by check, please make your check payable to “GHS Class of 2013”.


Pathways – Become a mentor to a young child and make a difference in their lives. Training begins July 16th and you will receive credit for your time. Once trained you will be matched to a child 5-12 years old, 6 month commitment, and community service hours available, See Amy Kamm in Room 1208 for an application.


GHS Varsity CheerleadingIf you are interested in trying out for the 2013 Fall season of GHS Cheerleading, there will be tumbling classes held on Tuesdays 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Thursdays 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the Beverly Sterling Center. Everyone is encouraged to go! Tryouts are June 4th, & 5th from 3:30 – 5:30PM.


Student Obligations – New student obligations are posted in the principal’s office windows, they must be cleared up to attend the functions coming up.
