Spirit Week – Next week is Spirit Week Sept. 15th – 19th,

 Mon – Grandparents Day - dress as your grandmother or grandfather,

Tues –Character Day - dress as a Disney character, a famous actor, a                 movie character, etc.

 Wed. - American Pride Day, Country day

 Thurs.  - Throwback Thurs, decades from the past, 60’s , 70’s, 80’s.        Fri.  - Class Color Day, Seniors (blue), Juniors (green) Sophomore (red), Freshmen (black)

Pep Rally is Friday, Sept. 19th.

 

Boys Ice HockeyAnyone interested in playing boys ice hockey, there is a meeting next Monday after school in Room 3205.

Golf if you are interested in playing golf for GHS, you can still join the golf team!. Please see Mr. P. Cook in Room 2216 at 2:07 if interested.

 

Human Right InitiativeAre you interested in making a difference in the world and helping out an area in need? Join human rights and you can make this happen! The first meeting is next Tues. Sept. 16th right after school in Room 2207.

Think Pink – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Student Council will be selling “Think Pink” shirts in the school store or see Ms. Menery or Mr. Gentile to order a shirt for $10.00

From GuidanceReminder to Seniors – The deadline to sign up for the October 11th SAT is today. Please see your guidance counselor if you have any questions.

Student Council – Freshmen Class of 2018, Freshman class elections will be held next week, please pick up an election packet in Room 1211, A.S.AP. Forms are due by next Monday.

 

Gloucester UIt’s year two of Gloucester U and we are excited to offer more quality programs! This school year we will have (3) 10-week sessions with courses offered one day a week from 2:15 to 5:00 pm. The first session, beginning on Sept. 15th includes working with Back Yard Growers at Gloucester Farm (our zero waste, green house initiative) courses in Art, Career and College Readiness, Anime and Website Design, Calligraphy and more. Comic ClubGloucester High students, come check out the comic book club on Monday, Sept. 15th after school in Room 2205. Come by and talk about comic book related movies, games, tv shows, and more. See Mr. Roy in Room 2205 if you have any questions.
