Day 1

Swim Team Parent/Team Meeting today at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria.

DECA Azorean Night – come and dine at the Azorean Restaurant tonight to help support Gloucester High Schools DECA program.

Picture Retakes – All students who need a picture retake or who have not had their picture taken, must do so, this Wed. Nov. 19th in the field house beginning at 7:30 AM. All students must have their picture taken this year for ID purposes.

Library – The GHS Summer Reading Program this year has been re-branded as The GHS Reads Program. Even though the program is happening a little late in the year, let’s all take a moment this week on Wednesday to relax and talk about reading. As a reminder, there will be a weighted raffle so the more you participate in the discussion, the higher your chances are that you will win a Kindle Fire! During F Block this week everyone will break out into discussion groups based on the tope you choose for summer reading. Room and topic assignments will be posted in the library. If you never signed up for a topic or do not remember your topic, please come to the library & sign up before Tuesday, Nov. 18th.

Also from the Library – Do you love the library? Would you like to learn more how the Gloucester libraries can better meet your needs and how to contribute to the conversation as a student? Ms. Whitney is looking for excited student volunteers and participants to be a part of the GEF’s community Education Forum about how libraries are evolving to better meet 21st century students’ needs during the digital evolution! If you are interested in attending or volunteering for service hours, please come to the library and see Ms. Whitney. The event is tonight at 6:30 at Cruiseport.

Guidance – MEFA College Financial Aid Night will be this Thursday, November 20th at 8:00 PM in the Lecture Hall.

Guidance – The ASVAB test will be held at GHS on Friday, December 5th. Any student interested please sign up in guidance.
