         Day 4

Boys GHS Lacrosse – Any boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring, please meet in the cafeteria at 2:30 PM on Friday, February 26th.

Intramural Volleyball – Volley ball begins, Monday, February 22nd. Sign your team up with the volleyball Czar, P. Cook by 2:07 tomorrow (Friday). See Mr. P. Cook in Room 2216. Email pcook@gloucesterschools.com. See the website once launched 2/11, Prepare for battle!

GHS Softball – Softball Clinic this Sunday, 9:00 – 11:00 AM in the field house.

America’s Boating Course – This 7 week basic introductory 14 hour course if for both power and sail boaters. The boating course will meet at GHS Wed. evenings 7-9 PM starting March 2nd. GHS students receive academic credit as well. Come to the principal’s office for more info.

Valentine’s Day Fundraiser – Send your friend, significant other or even yourself a valentine! For only $5.00 you can send; a bear, a carnation, a bag of candy and a note or $1.00 you can send a flower and a note. We will be selling at both lunches until tomorrow. Packages will be delivered during F-Block tomorrow.

February is Heart Awareness Month- since we missed our wear Red Day due to the snow storm please wear red tomorrow.

Awesome Gloucester – Do you have an idea to make Gloucester High School and Gloucester more awesome! If you do, Awesome Gloucester is looking to give away 2 prizes of $1,000 each! For more information, contact Mr. Francis is Room 2215.

Art Club – Interested in show casing your talents? The Art Club is hosting an Open-Mic Coffee House on Thursday, March 3rd from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. If you would like to get on the Mic for some poetry, singing or any other talent see Danielle Bauke or Ms. C. All are welcome to enjoy a night of art!

Guidance – Students who have been accepted to North Shore Community College next year are invited to a field trip to the Danvers Campus for a tour and placement testing on Thursday, March 3rd. Please see Mrs. Mondello in guidance for sign-up and permission slip.

Guidance – This announcement is for Juniors. There will be a Junior/Parent Guidance Night on Thursday, March 10th beginning at 6:00 PM. North Shore Community College will also be on hand to speak about their Early College Program.

 

From the YMCA, Build a Skill, Save a Life, Become a Lifeguard, February Training starts February 15th, at the Cape Ann YMCA, for more info, come to the principals office.

Students Taking AP Courses – If you are planning on taking an AP exam or exams, payment is due no later than tomorrow (Friday, February 12th.) Payment is cash or check. Checks must be made out to Gloucester High School. Please send your payment to Mr. DiPietro. If you have any questions see Mr. DiPietro in Room 3215.
