Day 2

Boys GHS Lacrosse – Any boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring, please meet in the cafeteria at 2:30 PM tomorrow (Friday),

Intramural Volleyball – Games start at 2:30 PM, see the website for schedule, standings, write-ups, rules, etc, ghsintramuralvolleyball.blogspot.com, 8 teams still need to pay team fees. All players must get a signed concussion form in to compete.

GHS Baseball – All individuals interested in trying out for one of the 2016 GHS Baseball Squads (Varsity, JV & Fresh) must attend a brief meeting today, right after school in the cafeteria. Bring a pencil/pen with you. If you cannot make this important meeting, please be sure to notify Head Coach Bryan Lafata, A.S.A.P. or Rosa Mortillaro.

Attention All Advanced Placement Students – If you still wish to sign up for an AP test, the final deadline is tomorrow (Friday). Payment must be either cash or check. Checks needs to be made out to Gloucester High School. Payments must be turned into Mr. DiPietro in Room 3215. See Mr. DiPietro with any questions.

From the Class of 2017 – Do you have talent? Do you want to show your talent to all of your friends? Come be a part of the Talent Show. Auditions are today in the auditorium. You must bring all that you need for the audition. Sign-ups are on Ms. Finacy’s door Room 1211, or by sending an email to ghsstudentcouncil2017@gmail.com. If you have any questions, please see any Junior Officer or Representative, or Mr. DiPietro in Room 3215.


GHS Docksiders and Chorus – Please join the Docksiders and Chorus for their February Valentines Coffee House for music, food, fun and a lovely atmosphere tomorrow night, (Friday) at 7:00 PM. Bring your friends, family and loved ones!

 Awesome Gloucester – Do you have an idea to make Gloucester High School and Gloucester more awesome! If you do, Awesome Gloucester is looking to give away 2 prizes of $1,000 each! For more information, contact Mr. Francis is Room 2215.

Art Club – Interested in show casing your talents? The Art Club is hosting an Open-Mic Coffee House on Thursday, March 3rd from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in the GHS cafeteria. If you would like to get on the Mic for some poetry, singing or any other talent see Danielle Bauke or Ms. C. All are welcome to enjoy a night of art!


Guidance – Students who have been accepted to North Shore Community College next year are invited to a field trip to the Danvers Campus for a tour and placement testing on Thursday, March 3rd. Please see Mrs. Mondello in guidance for sign-up and permission slip.

Guidance – This announcement is for Juniors. There will be a Junior/Parent Guidance Night on Thursday, March 10th beginning at 6:00 PM. North Shore Community College will also be on hand to speak about their Early College Program.

Jeans for Teens – Haverhill High School was on the news for collecting over 200 pairs of jeans for homeless or teens in need. We would like to do the same thing, if you would like to donate a pair of used jeans, please bring to Room 1213, we will be collecting all month, thank you, let’s try to get over 200 pairs!

Lost & Found – A phone has been found, please come to the principals’ office to claim.
