GHS Chess Team – Every chess player that will be making it to the play- off game today, make sure to check in with the team in Room 3204 before we depart.

AP Economics – All students who are interested in taking AP Economics next year please attend an informational meeting directly after school today in Room 3202. See Ms. Grasetti for more information.

Moody’s Mega Math Challenge – Those interested in competing in the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge are invited to Room 3203 after school today for a short informational meeting.

 

AP Testing – Attention AP students – If you are planning on taking AP tests, your money for each exam is due by Friday, February 17th. Money must be submitted to Mr. DiPietro, in Room 3215, by this date.

 

America’s Boating Course – The boating course will meet at GHS Wednesday evenings from 7-9 PM starting March 1st, 2017. Cost is $60.00, more information is in the principal’s office.

 

The Gloucester High School Scholarship Bulletin 2017 is on the Gloucester High School page of the www.gloucesterschools.com  website under Recent Uploaded Documents. Each scholarship requires a separate letter of application and a separate financial statement form. A copy of the financial statement form can be found at the end of this bulletin; additional forms are available in the Main Office. Unless otherwise indicated, all scholarships must be in the Main Office by 10:00 am on Monday, April 3rd, 2017. Scholarships that are to be mailed must be postmarked no later than Saturday, April 1st, 2017.

Summer 2017 is right around the corner – do you have an internship yet? Internships are a great way to develop life skills and get an edge for life after high school. Our GHS Summer Internship Preparation/Placement Program starts Tuesday, February 7th, 2017. It’s free for 9th-11th graders and meets every Tuesday from 2:20-4:20 PM to help students search and secure summer internships, upgrade their resumes and practice interviewing. We will focus on exploring your interests and skills to match you to a position in your desired field. Past students have interned at Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester Police Dept. Cape Ann TV, Marini Farm, and Manchester Family Medicine, spaces are limited, so make sure to see Ms. Carlson in guidance to register, A.S.A.P.

Jr. Class Fundraiser – Would any of you like to send your valentine a carnation? Or let someone know you want them to be your valentine? Carnations on sale during lunches or see a junior class student council member, 1 for $2.00 or 2 for $3.00.

 

Guidance – the Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund information is available in the guidance office.

 

Student Obligations – New student obligations are posted in the principal’s office windows, please clear them A.S.A.P.
