Junior Class Student Council – There will be a meeting today in Room 1213 immediately after school, no exceptions, all must attend.

GHS Softball – Softball conditioning starts this Sunday, January 19th from 8:00 am – 10:00 am in the field house, open to anyone interested in playing.

2014 Student Council – Mandatory meeting this Friday, re: Senior Banquet, Senior Prom, sweatshirts and other exciting senior stuff!

 

From the Library – Gloucester U continues today at 2:30 in the library, these are fun, hands on courses, if you have already signed up for one of the terrific Gloucester U courses, like Cooking, Yoga, or Saving the Elephants, check your email and meet us at the library at 2:30 today, then students will go to their classes. Remember we have free snacks and a free late bus, too. Did you forget to sign-up? Please see Ms. Whitney in the library to sign up for Gloucester U or visit the web site at http://gloucesteru.weebly.com and you can join the fun and do something interesting next week.

 

From Guidance – Free FASFA Workshop – receive individual assistance in filling out college financial aid forms. The College Success Program will be offering a Free FASFA workshop on Saturday, January 18th at Endicott College’s Gloucester’s campus at 33 Commercial St., between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Appointment info is available through your guidance counselor.

NHS – NHS is holding their annual blood drive tomorrow. Schedule sign ups are in the ticket booth at both lunches. Thank you for your consideration and preparation.

GHS Students – The Rock-A-Thon is here, please help us get the cans we need, it’s a 24 sleepless hours of rocking in a rocking chair to fundraise food for the “Open Door”, from 8:00 AM Saturday, January 18th to 8:00 AM, Sunday, January 19th, 2014. Look in your cabinets, check your shelves, in the spirit of the holiday give to those less fortunate than you. Turn the cans into the principal’s office.
