GHS Golf Team – Please see Mr. Cook in Room 2216 or email him if you are interested in playing golf in the Fall. Whether you are experienced or a beginner, a boy or girl, feel welcome to compete.

 

Human Rights Initiative – come join the Human Rights Initiative at the 3rd Annual Benefit Concert on the 23rd of June at the gazebo at Stage Fort Park. Donations are welcome. All proceeds will be sent to the Special Olympics.

 

From Guidance – Think you want a job in health care? North Shore Community College is offering a 1-week class to learn about the field of Health Care. Class begins July 20th, cost is $175.00. See your guidance counselor for more details.

 

From the LibraryGloucester U – Hike, create, play, learn, earn credits and have the best summer of your life with Gloucester U! The registration link is now available at gloucesteru.weebly.com. Please come see Ms. Whitney in the library for questions. The first 10 students who sign up for a class get a small and exciting prize.

Library – Do you need a summer job connection? Gloucester U will be hold a free summer job connection workshop July 6-9th from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the GHS Library. This 4 day workshop will connect you with the skills and tools you need to acquire, keep and succeed at your summer job and future career. The class is free, open to any GHS student and a free meal will be provided. If you are interested, a mandatory meeting will be happening today at 2:15 in the GHS library. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Whitney or Caitlin in the library.

 

 

AP Statistics – There will be a mandatory meeting for all 2015-2016 AP Statistics students today at 2:10 in Room 3213. Please see Mrs. Kennedy with any questions.

AP Economics – An awesome class! All students interested in taking AP Economics next year please attend a mandatory meeting directly after school tomorrow (Friday). This will be very brief informative meeting.

AP Psychology– Any student who signed up for AP Psychology, please go to Room 2217 after school today for information.

 

From Guidance – Salem State University will be offering an Intro to Sociology Class here at our GHS campus, Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM – 8:20 PM from September 9th, 2015 through December 16th, 2015. All participants will receive 3 Salem State University credits and 5 Gloucester High School honors history elective credits. Please stop by and see your guidance counselor for specific application information for this free (must pay for text book) Dual Enrollment opportunity.

 

New Student Obligations are posted in the principal’s office windows, they must be cleared, A.S.A.P. Remember to return your locks to your homeroom teachers, return all your books to your teachers and uniforms to the athletic department when it’s time, otherwise you will get an obligation for the items you haven’t returned.
