Chorus – Chorus will be meeting today after school at 2:30 PM in the Music Room, 1310. See Mr. Fleury if you have any questions.

GHS Thinks Pink – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – If you would like to order a Think Pink Shirt for our annual photo on October 27th, see Ms. Finacey in room 1211, shirts are $10.00.

Student Council & NHS – Clean Up Day is Tuesday, October 3rd on the half day, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Hearts for Houston – The Interact and Student Council students will be selling hearts to help fundraise for Houston Texas, Hearts can be purchased in the school store for $1.00. So far we have raised $261, our goal is $500.


Year Book – Superlatives Sheets, due in Ms. Hickey’s Room 3204 no later than tomorrow.

Year Book – Attention Seniors! Bring in your baby pictures! Find Lizbeth Pena-Ortiz or Olivia Perry to give to, also the school DECA store!

From Guidance – PSAT’s – This message is for Sophomore and Juniors interested in taking the P.S.A.T.’s on Wednesday, October 11th. Please sign up with Mrs. Mondello in the guidance office. There is no cost to take this test but space is limited.

Student Obligations – New student obligations are posted in the principal’s office windows, they must be cleared A.S.A.P.


GHS Human Rights Initiative – Want to help bring awareness to social issues? Want to develop your leadership skills and make colleges more interested in you? Join the Human Rights Initiative. Come to one our meetings on Tuesdays, right after school in Room 2209 (Mr. Telles room) for more information.


News from the Health Center – Want to send positive vibes to everyone walking into GHS? Stop by the Youth Advisory Council table at the Health Resources Fair this Friday to paint a rock with a positive message. The rocks will be placed around the lamp posts at the front entry to GHS.


Also anyone who wants to join the Youth Advisory Council, please go the Health Center Room 1214 on Tuesdays from 2:10 PM – 3:00 PM. We start with a snack then move on with projects and planning. Please join us on Tuesday after school.


Need to earn gym credits? Want to do something healthy for your self during the school day? Join the Walking Club on Mondays and Thursdays during both lunches to walk outside while the weather is still nice or in the field house when the weather is inclement. The Walking Club is free and   open to students and staff and will begin on Monday, October 2nd. The Walking Club will meet outside the cafeteria. See you there!
