Library:  This week the library will be closed on Wednesday, 12/18 - Thursday, 12/19 - Friday, 12/20.  It will also be closed when we get back from winter break on Thursday, January 2nd and Friday, January 3rd.


During the closure, Ms. Feener will be stationed in the Special Education Office - Room 1203A.  She will be available to check out day loaner chromebooks. Returned and broken chromebooks can be processed in the new IT office in Room 3204


Ugly Holiday Sweater Day:  Wear your favorite “ugly” holiday sweater on Friday - A group picture will be taken in the cafeteria at 1:15 pm


Drama Club:  Come out and support the GHS Theatre Program on Wednesday, December 18th at Machaca’s.  Money will be raised to support students on the NYC trip and the spring musical, “Beauty and the Beast”.


Seniors:  Last day to take yearbook senior photos will be Wednesday, January 15th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Please schedule a time with Lifetouch (800) 426-9533 or see Ms. Grassetti for contact info.


Guidance:  

North Shore Community College will be offering a college course at Gloucester High School.  The course, “Understanding Higher Education and Career Pathways” will begin the week of January 27th from 2:30 pm to 5:45 pm.  Students completing this course successfully will earn 3 college credits and 5 high school credits.  Seniors interested in taking the AFL-CIO exam for scholarship consideration should register by December 20th.  The exam takes place February 10, 2020. See your guidance counselor for sign up information.


Salem State University is offering a free college course in the winter called Healthcare in the US.  It will be offered Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8:20 pm. It runs from January 15th to May 6th. The class will be held at Rockport High School.  See your Naviance announcements or your guidance counselor for details.
