Boys Lacrosse Parent Meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday), at 7:00 PM in the Lecture Hall, all boy’s lacrosse players and their parents must attend.

German Club – the German Club will meet this Thursday, March 19th this month. Come and celebrate spring the German way.

From Guidance – College Planning Night for the Junior Class will be held this Thursday, March 19th at 6:30 PM in the GHS Lecture Hall.

 

From Mr. Basile – Attention students going to France/Italy. There will be a mandatory meeting this Thursday, March 19th at 7:30 PM in the library. Students and a parent must attend.

 

Class of 2016 – Junior Event, Friday, May 8th at Cruise Port, pay your class dues now!!

Class of 2016 – Pay your dues during both lunches all this week, dues must be paid to attend the Junior Event.

Class of 2016 – Coming Soon, Talent Show, Thursday, April 30th and May 1st. Auditions are Wednesday, April 15th in the auditorium at 2:45 PM.

 

From Gloucester U – The chief advertising officer of one e-cigarette company has spoken explicitly about the “renormalization” of smoking in the form of “vaping”. Why would we want to renormalize something that kills more people than anything else in the entire country? Escape the Vapes.

 

Scholarship Bulletin – The GHS Scholarship Bulletin is now on www.gloucesterschools.com. Please click on Our Schools, Gloucester High School and Documents. Unless otherwise indicated, all scholarships must be in the Main Office by 10:00 AM on Wed. April 1st, 2015. Scholarships that are to be mailed must be postmarked no later than Monday, March 30th, 2015.

From Guidance – Ben Franklin Institute of Technology will be coming to GHS for an “On Spot” admissions day on Monday March 23rd, Please see your guidance counselor if you are interested.

The Institution for Savings is sponsoring a $15,000 scholarship to a graduating senior. To qualify for this scholarship, the senior must be ranked in the top 50 of the Class. The recipient will demonstrate traits consistent with the Bank’s vision: having a positive effect on other people in her/her community through leadership, volunteerism, innovation, service and academic achievement. Completed applications, transcripts, and essays must be submitted to the Guidance Office by April 1st. See your guidance counselor for details.
